Scope of Work: ABS provided full MEP design for the conversion of two floors of dry retail into a high-end bakery.. The project consisted of both an Alt 1 and Alt 2 filing, coupled with a Landmark’s Preservation Committee review. Due to the massing of the building, rooftop HVAC equipment had to be installed at a different address, but on the same tax lot as the building in scope, further complicating the filing effort. To legalize occupancy of the cellar and the egress, a new sprinkler service was brought into the building and coverage provided throughout, as well as closely-spaced heads 6 feet on center along the path of egress.
